The White Goose Feather & Down Duvet contains a blend of feather and down. This makes it softer than a traditional feather duvet, while still reasonably priced. Because this duvet contains both feather and down, it is lighter than a feather duvet, but heavier than a down duvet!

  • White Goose Feather & Down: Fill is comprised of White Goose Feather and 575 Loft White Goose Down, blended at a ratio of 80% / 20% respectively. Blends provide a softer feel than a traditional feather duvet and more heft than a down duvet.

If your duvet is properly cared for, it will last you a lifetime!

Cleaning:

A properly maintained duvet should only require cleaning after 5 – 10 years, if at all. Have your duvet dry cleaned or professionally washed by a reputable cleaner experienced in cleaning down and feather products. Small spots or stains may be removed by holding the fabric away from the filling and using warm water and mild soap. To dry, use a hair dryer on low heat.

Do not attempt to machine wash or dry clean this product yourself. Your duvet is covered in 100% cotton and filled with natural down and feather. It may shrink if washed, possibly causing puckering in the stitching or loss of the filling. Home machines are generally too small for duvets, which can result in unnecessary wear and tear. Finally, it can be difficult to dry a duvet thoroughly enough. If the filling stays even slightly damp, the down and feather will clump together and may allow mildew growth.

Use and Maintenance:

Use a duvet cover with your duvet at all times. Failure to do so will cause premature wear and invalidate the warranty.
Flip, rotate and shake your duvet regularly to help maintain fluffiness and avoid too much wear in the same areas.
Use your duvet gently! High quality down and feather products are not designed for rough use. Try to avoid jumping or laying on top of your duvet, sitting heavy objects on top of it, or using it for purposes other than sleeping or sitting under.
Take your duvet outdoors periodically to air it. This helps maintain its freshness, fluffiness and insulating properties.
When not in use, store your duvet in a dry and well-ventilated closet or room to prevent mildew growth.
